Rhiz operates on a "Glass Box" model: your data is yours, encrypted locally, and shared only through your explicit consent. We reject the false tradeoff between privacy and utility. You hold the keys. You hold the kill switch.
When you create an account, we collect: email address, name (optional), and authentication credentials through our identity provider (Clerk). This enables account access and recovery.
Information you voluntarily provide including: bio, skills, interests, goals, and professional background. You control the visibility of each data point.
Connections you create with other citizens, including relationship type, strength scores, and interaction history. This data is used for coordination recommendations.
Participation records, contributions, governance votes, and agent interactions. This data informs your standing tier and trust score within the network.
We do not sell your personal data. Period. We share data only in these circumstances:

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to third-party advertisers. Analytics are privacy-preserving and do not track individuals across sites.
Our AI agents process your data to provide coordination suggestions, relationship insights, and personalized recommendations. You can adjust agent preferences or disable AI suggestions in your settings. AI does not make decisions about your rights or access without human review.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymized contribution records may be retained for network integrity. Dormant accounts are preserved but may be purged after 3 years of inactivity with prior notice.
Data may be processed in countries other than your residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards through Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent mechanisms for international data transfers.
Rhiz is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via email and in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
